You also want to know that the location is legitimate, secure, and professionally managed. That's why Schwartz Travel doesn't just put a pin on a map for every shop that wants to join us. We're very picky about where we operate.
Take Toronto, for example. We've noticed that most people want storage near Union Station. It makes sense—that's where the UP Express from the airport lands and where the GO trains depart. But Union Station is huge. A "nearby" location that's actually a 15-minute walk away isn't really that convenient when you're carrying a heavy bag. That's why we prioritize hosts that are within a 3-5 minute radius of major hubs.
In cities like Vancouver and Montreal, the geography of the city dictates where we place our hosts. In Vancouver, we focus heavily on the Gastown and Waterfront areas because that's where the transit meets the tourism. In Montreal, we know people want to explore the Plateau or the Old City, so we've built a network that lets you drop your bags at one end of a neighborhood and pick them up easily on your way out.
